How Much Does a Chauffeur Cost in London? (2026 Guide)
Ask three chauffeur companies for a price and you can get three very different answers. Some quote low and add extras later. Others quote high and include everything. This guide sets out what a professional chauffeur in London actually costs in 2026, what should be included, and what moves the price up or down.
Hourly Chauffeur Hire
For meetings, roadshows, shopping or an evening with several stops, most clients book "as directed": the car and chauffeur are yours for a set number of hours and go wherever you need.
- Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Benz V-Class or BMW 7 Series: from £60 per hour plus VAT
- Range Rover Autobiography: from £85 per hour plus VAT
- Minimum booking: 4 hours
A typical half day of meetings in the City and West End therefore starts from £240 plus VAT in an S-Class. A full day, usually 8 to 10 hours, is quoted as a single fixed price.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are quoted as a fixed one-way fare to a typical Central London address. Typical starting fares in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class:
- Heathrow: from £150
- London City: from £175
- Gatwick, Stansted and Luton: from £220
- Farnborough, Biggin Hill and RAF Northolt: from £220
Your exact quote depends on the pick-up and drop-off address, the time of day and the vehicle. See each airport page for V-Class and Range Rover fares.
What Should Be Included
A fair chauffeur price should cover everything you would reasonably expect. With Trouv, every booking includes:
- Flight monitoring on airport transfers, so delays are handled automatically
- Complimentary waiting time after landing
- Meet and greet inside arrivals
- Bottled water and phone charging
- Your driver's name, photo, car and registration 24 hours before pick-up
- A fixed price in writing, which does not change
What Changes the Price
Vehicle. The S-Class, V-Class and 7 Series sit at the same rate. The Range Rover Autobiography costs more.
Distance and time. Longer journeys and early morning or late night pick-ups can affect the fare.
Parking and congestion. Airport parking for meet and greet, and some charges in Central London, may appear on your quote. A good operator tells you this upfront rather than adding it afterwards.
Extra stops and waiting. A detour or a long wait outside a meeting is easiest on hourly hire, where the time is already yours.
Watch Out For
A low headline price is not always the cheapest. Ask whether waiting time, parking and VAT are included, and whether the price can change on the day. If a company will not put a fixed price in writing, treat that as your answer.
